I have spent my adult career working in the construction industry in the Greater New York area. For 25 years I operated my own contracting enterprises. My companies performed demolition and asbestos abatement on major projects in the New York/New Jersey area.
Development of the ABCOV® Method of Asbestos Destruction:
While in the asbestos abatement industry I realized the magnitude of worldwide asbestos contamination and of the horrific, devastating terminal health consequences borne by individuals exposed to asbestos and asbestos-containing materials. Billions of tons of asbestos-containing materials have been installed throughout the 20th century in factories, power industries, homes, refineries, automobiles, airplanes, railroad cars, military ships, private ships, military bases, government buildings, commercial buildings, office buildings, and schools, making everyone susceptible to lung cancer and Mesothelioma. Fact: There is no safe level of asbestos exposure, causing the permeation of asbestos contamination to become the largest environmental and health debacle facing our world today and many years in the future. Landfill space is quickly diminishing and there are more asbestos, asbestos-containing materials and asbestos-contaminated materials in the world than landfill space to store these asbestos materials. I knew something had to be done about the deadly hazards of asbestos. This motivated me to search out new methods and technologies for removing and permanently disposing of asbestos, asbestos-containing materials, and asbestos-contaminated materials. I initiated and underwrote research and development of the project known as the ABCOV Method of Asbestos Destruction at Battelle Memorial Laboratories in Columbus, Ohio, and Materials Science Laboratories of the Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, Georgia. During the 30 years developing the non-thermal; Federal Environmental Protection Agency approved ABCOV Method of Asbestos Destruction I encountered and treated a myriad amount of asbestos, asbestos-containing materials, and asbestos-contaminated materials. I discovered that no two asbestos-containing materials are alike, i.e. the percentage and type or types of asbestos, Serpentine or Amphibole or a combination of both, embedded in the matrix/ binder, the inconsistency of the matrix/binder and the contamination of the asbestos-containing materials by external hazards, such as, but not limited to, heavy metals, radionuclides, and volatile organics. Gaining this knowledge fostered the creation of various chemical formulas and the development of the most robust equipment needed to efficiently and completely destroy all forms of asbestos.

As of January 2014, 55 nations have banned asbestos, with an additional 16 nations placing restrictions on its use. Although all 28 countries of the European Union have banned the use of asbestos, the toxic mineral remains legal in the U.S. and Canada
Even though asbestos has been restricted and banned, there are billions of tons of asbestos remaining in our built environment, including landfills built to store asbestos. (EPA: "All Landfills Will Fail"). The asbestos in our built environment is a ticking time bomb that is ominous to our health and will remain so until it is permanently taken out of our environment.
I have dedicated the past 30 years filing original patents, acquiring Federal Environmental Protection Agency and State approvals and refining the ABCOV® Method of Asbestos Destruction to full commercial availability. It's very important to those who suffer from lung cancer and Mesothelioma, their friends and loved ones to accomplish full implementation of the ABCOV Method of Asbestos Destruction to permanently remove asbestos from our environment to protect and prevent future generations from contracting and suffering from the fatal diseases lung cancer and Mesothelioma.
What Is Mesothelioma and What Are The Symptoms?
Mesothelioma: A rare cancer of the membrane that covers the lungs and chest cavity (pleura), the membrane lining the abdominal cavity (peritoneum), or membranes surrounding other internal organs. Signs of mesothelioma may not appear until 30 to 40 years after exposure to asbestos.
